Privacy policy

This policy covers RareCare for iPhone and iPad, provided by Joshua Marchant, trading as WithCare Apps. RareCare is intended for adults aged 18 and over.

Information stored on your device

RareCare stores your optional name, animal profiles, notes, checklists, care-journey progress, saved contacts and emergency-card details locally on your device. The app’s age confirmation is also stored locally. These records are not uploaded to a WithCare Apps server, and no RareCare account is required. Device backups are controlled by your Apple settings.

Purchases

Apple processes in-app purchases and subscriptions. RareCare uses Apple’s StoreKit service to check signed purchase information and provide the access you bought. We do not receive your payment-card details. Apple handles your Apple Account and payment information under its own privacy policy.

Sharing and external services

When you choose to share an emergency card or location information, the information you select is passed to the app or recipient you choose. Phone, email, map and website links open external services whose privacy policies apply. RareCare does not continuously track your location.

Analytics and advertising

RareCare contains no third-party advertising or analytics SDKs and does not sell your personal information. Apple may provide developers with aggregated App Store statistics or diagnostic reports according to your Apple privacy settings.

Support correspondence

If you email support, we receive your email address and the information you include. We use this only to respond to your request, resolve issues and maintain necessary support records. Please avoid sending sensitive information. Contact us to request deletion of your support correspondence, subject to any applicable record-retention requirements.

Managing and deleting your information

You can edit or remove animal profiles and contacts in the app. Settings offers a reset of app records. Removing the app removes its local app data, though copies may remain in device backups or with recipients you previously chose to share with. Cancelling a subscription is a separate action in your Apple Account.

This website

These information pages are hosted by Cloudflare. Cloudflare may process IP addresses and request information to deliver and protect the website. We do not add advertising trackers, analytics scripts or optional cookies to these pages.
